I am just okay with sneaker. I am glad I got them when they were recently reduced in price for the Tigerlilly before they re-raised price. I understand why there were a lot of one stars! I do not have a wide foot and they were tight in width. I did not order a half size bigger as some suggested. The problem is not the length. I am a size 10 and there was plenty of toe size. One shoe is tighter than the other which makes no sense. Maybe with some breaking in and I have a shoe stretcher they might be fine. I usually buy the Vilas 2 and love them but really wanted to see how the Special feel's on a court. I played today with them and on a hard court. I like the extra cushioning and increased sole over the 2 but they still might end up in the garbage if they do not loosen up. We shall see!Update 2/21/15 I stretched out this pair and they are fine. I bought another pair that fit better but still were a little tight and needed a little stretching. They are great. They were not purchased from Amazon this time because I found what I needed for less money ( cool but strange color!) Amazon, if it is on sale great price if not well.... The price of these sneakers are are all over the price depending on where you shop online and the color. These sneakers after broken in are great tennis sneakers and reasonable. A lot less then all the high end stuff. I have no idea if there is a difference. Sneaker Magazine (yes I did my homework!) had these rated #22 (or close) in the top 25 underrated sneakers of all time!IMO, this shoe is almost perfect. I use to wear these about 8-9 years ago and loved them. They are solidly built shoe and aesthetically sleek looking especially in all white or all black. The shoe is overall a very rigid shoe and will need to be broken in. Upon receiving mine, it was the shoe I remember loving and wearing. I followed the majority trend here on the reviews in ordering up a half size (I am usually a 10.5 and ordered an 11), and I would say it fits true-to-size, so therefore I’ll be sending back the 11 for my 10.5. It can be very subjective so the universality rule goes out the door (feet are all made differently!), but I would say I have slightly wide feet and although the shoe is more narrow than average, the extra 1/2 inch gave me “too much” room overall. Conclusively, if you are like me and think you have narrow to only slightly wide feet, IMO I would recommend staying true to your usual size as gaining extra room in going up in size can make your feet look disproportionately long to your body (like a clown lol). If you think your feet are pretty wide than yes, size up accordingly. Otherwise, I will be returning mine and sticking to my usual 10.5 size. Sleek, sharp, and cleaning-looking pair of shoes that go well with jeans, chinos, shorts or anything! The sole is hard but I actually find the shoe comfortable.I got these in solid white with a grey emblem with gray bottoms A total of $43.42.Very comfortable. I read the reviews and it worried me. I have skinny feet and long toes.THESE FIT PERFECT .These are going to be my work shoes. I will update this review once I've worn them at work for a while. my shoes always get demolished. I'll update my review in october or sooner if need be.UPDATE: been wearing these at work, beating them up bad. To my surprise , they are still going strong. Theres some discoloration on the right toe because I kneel on my right and favor my right foot. I have had work shoes that come loose at the seams and my toe comes out on my right foot . Not one thread is coming loose on these and they are still very comfortable. If I can destroy these shoes for two months at work, someone could wear these for a year or more casually. This review has reached its final conclusion. Or. . . . .has it? I will review the aftermath if these sneakers dont remain mighty UPDATE!!: Still going strong. Its november. I just received two more pairs. One is black and fits a little tighter than I would like. My other new white and grey pair fit perfect again. I now have a work pair and a nice pair in that color. The solid black pair are too narrow and I recommend maybe getting half a size larger. It would be nice if I couldwrite a different review for the solid black pair because I might give it 4 stars. I think a little breaking in and they will be fine so ill leave this review for now. UPDATE!!: it is May 2015 and I bought another pair. White with blue accent. I am going to buy these shoes for as long as I live. My original work pair are still staying intact except for my toes coming through which is normal for my line of work. These shoes are my FAVORITE!!! The black ones from before broke in just nicelyI've been playing tennis since the early '70s and the GV Special might be the best shoe I've ever worn. They're light, snug, offer good arch and instep support and have abundant cushioning in the sole. Altogether, I can run faster and change direction quicker than other models I've worn recently, including quality models from Babbolat and New Balance. One of the key design features that make this shoe special is the minimal amount of leather for the tongue and around the instep, making the shoe lighter. To balance this reduction the instep is reinforced by a broad area around the eyelets, reducing the space toward the insole, creating a good snug fit. The top of the shoe is perforated, helping reduce heat around the foot. A classic design feature for a tennis shoe.As with other Puma models, I ordered the next size up. I wear a 12D in Red Wing boots, but need a 13 in Puma's.Puma is advertising this shoe as a "fashion sneaker" but make no mistake, it's a tennis shoe. Guillermo Vilas ("GV") was an iconic tennis player from Argentina back in the '70s, winning the French Open and U.S. Open in 1977. Maybe Puma thinks it can sell more units by calling it a fashion sneaker.I hope that Puma continues this model, even if they need to get a modern player to name it after. I'm going to purchase a couple of pairs for the future. It would be a shame if it's discontinued.I had these trainers in the mid 1980's and they were my favourite ones i ever had. I can't believe i managed to get a pair again as i thought Puma stopped making them. These are timeless 'football casual' clothing and i am surprised that they are so difficult to get in the UK. G.Vilas a legendary tennis player too. Love them.Trainers looked like they were display model. I paid for a brand new trainers and not a display model.Genuine product, quick delivery. I'm very pleased , thank youSon bonitos, comodos, tienen buen estilo.Es la calidad que es garantia de los productos Puma: buena calidad y atractivos diseños!Muy cools y confortables.Buen corte, muy cómodo, combinable, buen precio y calidad definitivamente lo recomiendo y los volvería a comprar puma ya es garantía
